How much notice does my employer have to give me to cut my contract. We have been told our contracts are basically being dropped from 40-20, how much notice do they have to give us to enforce this, as we've only been told about it informally at the moment.

    It depends whats in your employment contract. If it says they can cut your hours/lay you off short term then there often isnt much you can do.

    Contact ACAS, they will be able to pint you in the write direction.
