It was almost an accident. We were making glace chillies (which, as it happened, didn't work very well - the flesh on these chillies was very thin), and decided to thicken the syrup.

lol I remember making mac and cheese with peas years ago at a friends house- we did enjoy it but we look back on that day now and laugh- it was quite random!

Hm ... in an American forum we'd have about ten posts for "French fries dipped in a chocolate Frosty" by now ... apparently everyone who eats at Wendy's thinks they're the only person who has done this. :p

As for me ... dunno. I've had unsweetened chocolate dipped in honey, but that's just because they were ingredients for the cookies I was making and unsweetened chocolate alone tastes like some sort of weird root vegetable.

That sounds good, what kind of cookie was it?

"Mocha-frosted Chocolate Drops" - pretty basic little cookies actually, once you get past the honey (which is just melted in with the chocolate). The ingredients are like a chocolate version of chocolate-chip cookies, but with a little extra moisture, and buttermilk for a lighter texture.

The frosting, though. The frosting is HEAVEN. I might just make a batch of the frosting sometime and use it on every meal. :p

Cheese and cucumber. Potatoes and apple sauce. Infact, most things go with apple sauce.

The problem is I don't think the things I like are weird

Rich fruit cake with cheese - very common in the north

Chips, cheese and gravy - OK, this does look pre digested...

Doner Pizza - if it was weird, it wouldn't be on the menu, would it?

Mince pie deep fried in batter - does that count as a combination?
