Hello
Until now i've worked a SU10 Yamaha sampler and a hardware drum machine/sequencer called a Quasimidi and a keyboard called Syrius. With VSTis and software sequencers doing the job of a sampler and drum machine, keyboards and everything else, where does the studio equipment have it's own use. Especially as I can't really play a musical instrument to a good level.
Because I've brought a macintosh and I now might buy an Akai APC 40 and Ableton for £400.
So why use hardware that a computer can do anyway?
I've been pondering this since the 90s. Never dared to ask before now.
