How do you get your news?

Do you watch evening news tv, or read online newspapers or?

I tend to have channel 4 at 7 on in the background but never consciously seek out the news.

Ive gotta have news 24/7 but I rarely read a newspaper or watch it on TV (exepct for Channel 4 news)

Everything comes via email -google alerts or online. Its the way forward. :thumb:

The BBC website, normally. I'll sometimes catch BBC News 24 in the morning and/or a bit of C4 news in the evening. I don't generally read the papers as I can't get on with their various egregious slants.

    The Today program, mostly.

I never actively seek out the news. Me nor none of my housemates buy newspapers and the only time we watch the news is if it happens to be on while waiting for something else.

If theres a paper around at home or at work and i'm bored I'll read it but thats it

www.bbc.co.uk/news usually. if i find a news story intersted i'll usually find another link to it on the guardian website.

I read a newspaper if I find it lying around at home. Oh and on here in the p&d forum. I follow the links if someone posts them and read the discussion.

What's the point in getting biased news from the UK press when you can read P&D from TheSite.org and get informed angles from our readers here? :-)

I read the news on the BBC website at lunchtime when at work and also catch up with local news on the local news website. I read the news from my (yahoo) homepage when I go online. I often have the channel 4 news on at 7pm although rarely sit and watch it, it is usually background noise.

As it is; I receive a daily digest of articles; informed opinion and pictures of The Sun's Page 3 via a specialist bred carrier pigeon named Alfred. Or a telegram. Or Morse Code.

In fact I'm hand typing my contribution to said Topic by using a typewriter. STOP.

Mostly, I read the free newspapers.

Although for some reason I can very rarely find them in the mornings for the past few months, so maybe I should have phrased the above as "I don't unless I find a free newspaper".

Also watching Mock The Week is sometimes useful :)
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Daily Show, Colbert Report and News of the Weird. If they don't tell me about it it isn't interesting enough to know ;)

Webernets if it's an international, actually important issue and neccesitates objectivity, with obvious cross referencing and trusted sources. Otherwise the Independent (which is also a trusted source) or Liverpool Echo depending if the news I'm interested in is of national/international or local concern.

Though, mostly 8 out of 10 cats, or mock the week. :thumb:
