Classic rock bands

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Im looking for new inspiration and music,I seem to generally listen to the same bands all the time, learning the same songs on guitar and Im getting bored now.
I want something fresh and new.

Im into Guns N Roses,Ozzy,Led Zep,Slayer, bit of Metallica,Cinderella,AC/DC...all the classic rock bands.
Its my favourite music so if anyone can post a few more rock bands kind of along these lines or even completely different Id be very grateful and will check them out.

Cheers.

The who, Frank Zappa, Deep purple, Thin Zizzy, Alice Copper, Jimi Hendrix (but then, I guess you know them!)
    Some not so like that...
Less than Jake, Muse, Drug dealer Cheerleader, Shine down, HIM, Jefferson Airplane, The white stripes, Nirvana, Shocking Blue, Fallout boy, Techno Animals, Sublime...
I like a lot of random music, and much of that is quite random XD

Ever watch the show Supernatural? That's the kind of music I like. :p Kansas, BOC, Styx ... actually I like most music, but if you need to wake yourself up in the morning you gotta go back to the 70's and 80's.

My thread! I remember when these bands were still releasing new songs that you kids think of as classic

Dio, Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who (natch), Motley Crue, Kiss, Whitesnake...

Shit, perhaps I should get a list my record collection?

NB Anyone who mentions Muse, youmeatatsix or anyone else who have only been around for less than ten years really don't understand the definition of "classic" :p

(Even though the music is good, it's not classic, yet)

I became very disturbed the other day when I was informed that 90's music now counts as old.
    90's music!
Does this mean we get a new decade for the DJ's on the local rock station? Take us back to the good ol' NINETIES over the lunch hour?
    *moans*

Every Rose and Talk Dirty To Me; quality tracks. Unskinny Bop is quite a good tune as well. Despite my love of all things thrash (Slayahhrrrrr!) I do have a bit of a soft spot for a bit of hair metal now and then. I guess not having been in the LA scene at the time, I don't have to take sides :)

    Also forgot;

    Pantera
    Twisted Sister
    The Clash
    Scorpions
    MC5
    Rainbow
Rush (pre-prog; the early stuff - the Caress of Steel and Rush albums, when they were trying to be a II-era Led Zep; listen to the version of Working Man from the R30 album on Spotify - I'd forgotten just how amazing Rush are)

    And something for the young'uns:

    Clutch
    Kyuss
    Primus
    Zico Chain
    Dropkick Murphys
