    Tried a session once.. It's very relaxing, very easy on your joints if you have knee/back pain or arthritis etc, and generally you leave the class feeling really calm. It's mostly carried out in silence though and a lot of people there were 55+ with only a few younger people, so not a great place if you want to meet people socially! :p

    cool, sounds really good. to be honest i'm not too fussed about the social aspect i just want to feel fitter and happier.

    Hi Nutter,

    It's great that you are looking into things to improve your fitness and happiness. There's quite a lot of useful information on the Wikipedia site about Tai Chi - it's origins, modern Tai Chi and the health benefits - might be worth checking out?
