My first job as chancellor of the excheqour would be to cease all funding to Derby County, and disband them, then give all the money to Notts County and Forest.

My first act as defence secretary would be to insist that the army needs 200,000 troops at least, and recall them all from hell holes where we have no buisness being.....then invade France.

Can't really say who 'id choose as my cabinet, as I don't know how atractiive / photogenic you all are.
And as we all know, the only thing important in todays political world is how good you come out looking inthe papers.

First Act - Bring Rail, telecoms and the post office back to public contol (goverment owned).

Not many girlies post in Politics so we don't know if they'd be any good in our cabinet
Admittedly, you are an intelligent girl, I'm sure I could find you a position...Local government and the regions?

And we'll have another token female (;)), Karla can be Chief Whip  :D

    I would have:

    PM: mingo
    Education: Te-Kila
    Culture: morroccan roll
    Home Secretary: Toadborg

    Erm, really?
I can understand most of those choices, but Toadborg? :D

Not many girls post in politics because the topics there are often dull male dominated topics such as war and gun control. I personally know very little about these subjects and am not interested in discussing them. If you look back through the boards there are threads with a lot of female participation, but on interesting topics. The politics board has been really dead lately and that's what got me hooked. :(

It has been dead lately, but I'll take issue with your comment that most topics are about guns and gun control. There have been very few recently, and whenever Diesel or Thanatos attempt to draw us in to one, we resist. We have agreed to disagree on that one :D.

You cannot blame the blokes for putting girls off from contributing. If any girl wanted to post in here they could. If they don't want to, they won't. Not our fault.

And I think the reason that Politics has been slow is because the only things in the news are Israel/Palastine, India/Pakistan or World Cup related.

That's why girls exam results are consistently better than blokes and more girls are admitted to university every year is it? And give me all you like about the reason being that girls are better at exams but you know that's just an excuse.

You are right Kentish, it's no ones fault that the boards are quiet (especially female) but some people are happy to contribute to threads but don't want to start any. When my mind was more stimulated I started topics but sometimes get pissed off at the inability to have a discussion in politics, with everyone ripping each others threads to bits and tryint to prove how clever they are by using long words and statistics.

    Ja, tis true.

But I honestly cannot think of anything to start a thread on :(

Exams are a measure of the desire and ability to learn, not intelligence, i knew numerous people at school who got straight A's etc, but were basically stupid in the ways of the world, the vast majority of what we are taught in school beyond the first few years is basically useless ;)

Excuses excuses. If it was boys doing better than girls you would be saying the opposite.

And I did so want to be:

Minister of gun control; advocating that you hit what you shoot at!

    Instead it's:

Minister of point...what? Lemme see...bullets have points!

    I've got it..by jove, I've got it!

    hehehehehehehe:D  :D

This worries me. First of all, Ebb getting two votes for Culture Sec. A middle class xenophobic midlands yob? I agree, great for culture, isn't it. The sports I can understand, although I'd be more inclined to appoint Alistair, or even worse, be unpatriotic and appoind Alessandro.

Then there's Ebb as SecState equivalent. Again, same concerns apply.

Then there's Whowhere appointment as Chancellor. This is someone who refuses to acknowledge the economic arguments of the Euro, yet you'd quite happily let him run your economy? Scary stuff. Not to mention his obvious complete ignorance of the subject.

And at the end of the day, if more women wanted to post in politics then they would. And if they were that desperate to bring up a subject, then they would post a topic. There is always that option if you cannot find what you are looking for already. It is in no way sexist, because it is female choice. As Kentish pointed out, the posters in politics do not know a lot of peoples political standings, or opinions, so therefore can not include them, whether male or female.
sorry, that was all a little serious!:)
