Tax credits?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I have just done the tax credits calculator and it says I am eligable for them, but it didn't ask about my living arrangements. I still live at home with my parents, I'm 25 and have no kids but am on a low income, will I still qualify or will they take my parents wages into account? Thanks

To be eligible for tax credits you must:

    * be over the age of 25 and working more than 30 hours per week; OR
    * be responsible for a child and working more than 16 hours per week; OR
    * have a disability which affects your chances of finding work and be working more than 16 hours per week.

Entitlement is then worked out on how much you and/or your partner earn- even your savings are not taken into account. Simples!
