    You could always try do some independent work putting leaflets through doors and advertising in local papers (usually this is best in a well off area). However if at all possible i would also advise speaking to your previous employer and ask them to explain what exactly wasn't good enough so that you can't make the same mistakes in future as often plastering jobs are got by word of mouth so you need to make sure you are top notch.

    However you should know that people can't just fire you for no good reason and there are proper procedures they need to follow- so if they have not followed these then you can take them to an industrial tribunal.
