Someone else's graduation

I'm attending my partners graduation as a guest but am a bit confused as to what to wear, how formal do you go as a guest?!?!

    well i went to my mums a few years back and i wore a black dress... i was only little tho... id say not overly formal, but just look smart i guess :-) id say definatly wear something you could be seen in at an interview for a job x

    Yeah I agree. When I went to my little brother's graduation a year ago I wore smart black trousers, high heels and a pretty chiffon-y top (with a vest top underneath obviously). My dad and other brother both wore suits and ties.

    Depends on the University a lot of the time.

    At my University you are expected to dress formally. Suit and tie if you're a man, formal daytime dress or suit if you're a woman.

    Thanks, I ended up wearing a dress that didn't look too dressed up/down. Seemed to fit in with everyone else.
