Fibro/ pills/ ME

Hello

I was wondering if anybody had personal views on taking antidepressants for help with fibromyalgia related problems..?
Before being diagnosed with ME, my doctor thought it was fibromyalgia and suggested that if it was then it might be a good idea to take a mild antidepressant for help with sleep and pain.
I've been having trouble with these things lately and just wondered if it might be worth taking..

Any comments/ advice?

I have been dignosed amitriptyline in the past when my docs tried to fob me off as having fibromyalgia, but decided against taking it when I did further research.

I generally don't get on with ADs anyway (they make me sleepy past the point of ridiculousness) and didn't feel that even more fatigue was what I wanted or necessarily needed.

It's a personal thing, I think. Do a bit of googling and see what you come up with :)
