There's some quite funny and rude place names in the world so I thought I'd started a thread about them.
There's a town in Yorkshire called Sexhow.
Can you do any better? if so please post them.

    There is a village near where i grew up called pratts bottom and also a road called Bogey Lane - i'm sure there are loads more but i can't think of them off the top of my head

    Not really rude or funny, but there's lots of really strange names in Australia.... I lived in a town called Mooloolaba, and there's also a town called Currimundi.

    Bangor in wales always tickled me!

    Although i have come across a couple of wierd road names. Rodgershead avenue and bent cock lane spring to mind!

    I have a picture of a sign for 'St. Gregorys Back Alley' in Norwich if someone could tell me how to put pictures on here :)

    Upload it to www.photobucket.com and post the link.

    Or, go to reply to thread (don't think you can do this in quick reply) and scroll down to where it says Add attachments and then browse for a file. (It can either bea picture online or your computer)

    Two places that spring to mind would be Cockfosters at the start of the Picadilly line and a set of flats around the corner from me called Buckfast House.
