applying for summer jobs

Was going to start doing this next week.. only I'm going away for a week June
2nd to visit family in t'Hull! Would it make more sense to wait until I get back incase they want me for an interview? Just thinking it might look bad if one of them actually got back to me to ask me to come to an interview and all I'd say is.. I cant, I'm on holiday. Hmmm..whadda I do?

Apply now - because if you leave it till june then loads of summer jobs will already be filled - tbh it always takes more time for people to read though cv's and shortlist than they think - the only thing i would advise against is applying for any job which specifically states that the interview will be during the week you are away - becuase that does look bad.
