My lover and I we sleep in the wrong direction
Cheeks turned to the other side.
And we lie
In a bed we made ourselves
With a weave of accusations.

My lover and I we sleep in the wrong direction
And in heat we colour ourselves in
Red and then
Black and blue for the sake
0f seeing black and white

My lover and I we sleep in the wrong direction
0ur love blanketed by the covers.
0ur dreams
Tangled between the sheets
And we sleep back to back again

My lover and I we sleep in the wrong direction
Bodies shrouded in blackened white.
0ur forms
Slip in and out of view
As we twist ourselves through the night.

I take it this is something you've written from your own experience?

Actually my girlfriend and I always wake up in opposite directions. I thought it was an interesting concept, so that's how it built up.
