Airmiles

How do these work?

My dad has 250k air miles, which would get me a flight to Australia. Can he transfer these airmiles to me?

Dont have a clue how airmiles work. :confused:

    I know on some airlines you can buy a ticket for anybody using anybody elses airmiles. They don't get transferred, as such - you just buy a ticket with them.

    I used mine for an upgrade to business class to NYC. Wicked.

    Yep my dad buys me flights all the time using his airmiles - often the difference in the number of miles to upgrade to business class is a lot cheaper as it were than the actual extra cost you would get - so we often fly business class as well - woot!
