what id is accepted?

hey all
i wanna know what ID is accepted at bars, pubs, clubs and the like,
i mainly wanna know cos i'm about to apply for an ID card off an offical site
can't rember what one atm and cba 2 go through my history to find it atm

basically
what ID is generally accepted at the above locations?

Drivers Licence or passport seems to be becoming the only form of ID being accepted, sometimes those ones you get for taking to pubs and clubs so you don't lose your important cards aren't accepted, in fact a lot of the time.

Passports and full driving license only these days in most places.

I work in club passports provisonal driving licence.
Its stupid remember when you could by them id age cards there photo etc they dont get accepted anymore.
If you lose your passport its like 90quid replace.
I think any photo id with d.o.b sould be acepted

If your old enough, get a provisional drivers license even if your not learning to drive or anything.

Most places wont accept a citizen card mate.

I've been quite lucky with the Citizen Card but I have had it refused a few times.

None of the clubs here accept the citizen cards it's just passport and driving license. I don't mind taking my driving license out but I try not to take my passport especially with what it costs to replace it! I don't understand why citizen cards aren't accepted, places like supermarkets regard them as valid ID when buying alcohol!

I've decided to start using my provisional license as ID instead of the Citizen Card. I just need to find the card license.
