Society secretary

I'm thinking of running for secretary for the uni rock soc, but I need to produce a manifesto and I was wondering what sort of things I should put down?

Considering last year one of the candidates submitted a copy of the declaration of independence with every mention of america or nation changed to metal, I doubt they're expecting an amazing amount!

    It might be helpful if you can get hold of some minutes from previous AGM's (if that's where positions are elected) and see what kinds of things people mentioned when they were running for it previously, that might give you a better idea :) Perhaps talk to the person that currently does the job and ask him/her what it involves? If you have any new ideas for developing with the society if you were elected as secretary, that might be a good thing to mention.
