Nope, not a drugs thread. What's the highest peak you've been to the top of?

Mine's a rather pathetic 2634ft on top of Conston Old Man.

Disgraceful for a Lake District born-and-bred person (well, just outside).

Lived near the french alps when I was little and went up there a few times... Never to the very top but must've gone pretty high up.

The highest natural place is the cairngorms, with a height of 3789ft.

The highest man made structure was the CN Tower which is 1815ft.

Both were amazing for completely different reasons.

Actually, thinking about it, I've been up Mt. Teide, which is 12,000ft. But the top was closed to the general public, so I've only been up to 11600ft. But that was on a cable car, so it doesn't really count. Got quite light headed up there. My mum still blames her M.E. on that mountain.

Skiing in the alps. I've been to Axamer Lizum which highest mountain reaches 2340m. Can't say if I've been up there, but I know for sure I was over 2200m. Nassfeld is 2200, Rax is 2000 something, Schneeberg 2000 something too. So something around that.

    And soon again. 1.2. - 8.2. ;)

When it comes to fairground rides, I've ridden a machine called Bomber Mark 2. It's one of those tall propeller rides, taking you 55 metres high and pulls 4.2G. If any of you have heard of a 'Booster', then it's basically one of those but bigger.

I went up the Grossglockner, which is the highest mountain in Austria. I didn't go all the way to the top, but I went as far as this Glacier which was nearly there! I also saw the Austrian President at the time doing a speech up there, surrounded by guards in Tirolean national dress with rifles. lol

I was up the Kitszteinhorn glacier (3035m/9958 ft) on Monday, Maiskogel (1650m/5414 ft) on Thursday and Schmittenhohe (2000m/6562 ft) most of the other days last week. Awesome :)

Oh, and my plane was 36,000 ft high. Ho ho ho.
