So it seems I am overqualified for the majority of the admin jobs out there... But I need this experience to get a graduate job.

Anybody else feel this?

Have you tried temping agencies? I am temping at the moment and you have to be persistent but it is possible to get work through them, at least that would give you a bit of experience. Also, play up anything admin related you've done at uni or in previous jobs at all. It is hard because most places know that if you're a graduate, its unlikely that you want to stay in a 11k a year receptionist job and that you're likely to get bored, but as you say a lot of grad jobs do require you to have some relevant experience.
