The Community Channel is looking for volunteers with inspirational and interesting stories to help launch the ‘Helping others can help U’ campaign to promote United Nations International Volunteer Day: 5th December 2008
The campaign aims to recognise and publically acknowledge people who volunteer across England and will be centred on a week-long celebration and awareness campaign which will profile inspirational individuals to encourage people who have not volunteered before to find out about the benefits of being a volunteer.
So, if you are a volunteer, and have an out-of-the-ordinary tale to tell, whatever your abilities, qualification, age or background, the Community Channel would love to hear from you.
Initial contact would be a phone conversation, with a view to you participating in media work around the time of the campaign.
