Hello theeere I haven't been on him in ages

anyway just wondering - for those of you that went/ are at Uni now what did you write in your personal statement?

I'm finding it really hard I feel like an idiot writing it !

I've written something and was wondering if any of you kind people would have a read and tell me what you think?

Thanks !

I'd post it up and see, I'm sure people won't mind reading it :)

Paragraph 1 - state who you are and what you'd like to study at the university.
Paragraph 2 - a load of waffle about why you want to study that course.
Paragraph 3 - a load of waffle about what use that degree would be to you.

That's the basic template which I followed. It got me an offer, so I must have done something right.

Our careers people at school always said write 2 thirds about your academic achievements and why you love the subject, then 1 third about yourself and what an all rounded person you are.

What subject are you doing? Because that'll make a difference. For instance I do English, so I wrote a sentence or two about my favourite book I had studied (it's all bull, i hadn't even read the book!), and focussed a lot on how my statement was written.
