anyone doing a media or film degree at UNI?

i need some information about media and film course at universitys across the country. im currently taking media production at lichfield college, and im coming up to my second year.

Obviously ill need to find out Which Uni im gonna go to, so what can you guys tell me?

is the course mostly theory or practical based?

whats the surrounding areas like?
whats the atmosphere like?
whats the student accomadation like?

any and all information you can give me i'd appreciate it.

    I will be going to UCE in Birmingham to do media and communication in September. There is a website for the course at http://www.mediacourses.com

    My friened does media at a uni in the north eat and he says it is great!
    It is more practical based, although he had to do one essay (all year...one essay, I did 14!)
