 thought you might like to know about this:

As part of the National Identity Scheme, the government has said that it will offer ID cards to young people on a voluntary basis from 2010.

A website has now been launched - www.mylifemyid.org, which is a research site designed to explore issues around identity in general, with 16 to 25 year olds. The site will remain live until mid-October.

Oh isn't that kind of them. Tell them they can go and get fucked. I don't want the Conservatives to win the next election, but they'll be scrapping the whole thing anyway. Or so they say.....

Are they going to do an intorductory scheme where the early adopters can have a spare card with their age 1 year older than it really is - that might get some interest.
