Hi, people. I'm trying to get a pile of us camping some weekend in August maybe but really fancy somewhere good. We are all from Greater Manchester so wana get out of Lancashire really. The ideal place we're after is a campsite that's got;

1) A village nearby, with, as you'd imagine a good selection of pubs
2) A selection of various walks
3) Obvious as it may sound, washing facilities (sink, shower, etc)
4) No more than 3 hours drive out of Greater Manchester
5) Possibly a pub on the campsite itself

Also, a campsite that isn't too strict about noise cos chances are there will be quite a few of us with guitars, singing whilst bladdered n stoned, :thumb:

Would appreciate any recommendations.

    I think you'd be looking at Yorkshire Dales/Lake District probably.

    Are there any ones in particular you could recommend though? The names? and if they have a website?

    Long time since I've been camping anywhere to be honest - last time I went to Sykeside (http://www.sykeside.co.uk) near the Kirkstone Pass, they were quite relaxed but then again no guitars or joints were involved!
