Troubles of a Wednesday fan.

Im getting a bit p****d off at the moment with my beloved Sheffield Wednesday. Not long ago we were giving the Arsenals, Chelseas good matches and now we are struggling in Division 1.

And the reasons for all of this are the board who have only just realised how much financial trouble we are in (how the hell £18m in the red didnt ring a few bells earlier I dont know!) and have hence released players on frees, got rid of a lot of youth players and contemplated axing the reserves! Then too try and smooth things over the sqaud are made too train 11 weeks earlier so it looks like all possible efforts being made too get the team rady for next season.
But at the end of the day, the whole club is a mess, the manager should be a coach as his tactical knowledge leaves a lot too be desired, the board are as out of touch with the fans as is humanly possible and the players are not putting in the effort.

Sorry for the rant, but Ive been building this up throughtout the season and its beginning to come to a head

The fans don't help by not turning up, Hillsborough always looks so empty......

Yeah that is true- Even though we are near the top of attendance figures in division 1, we have a Premier League stadium and hence a large capacity which isnt filled. But mind you, I dont blame some of the fans for not turning up for some of the standard of football played last season. But then again its time like these you've got too get behind the team....

I suppose on the bright side......
At least we're not Bradford City

Precisely, you can't complain too much about money when you don't go and support them.....

And of course not being Bradford is always good....

Toadborg, Wednesday had about the fourth highest attendance in the first divison and one much higher than some premiership offerings

They also have two fairly big clubs in the city meaning the support is halved before you even start, I think Wednesday have had superb support considering theri current plight

Narcotic mate, I know just how you feel The effects of relegation from the prremeiership didn't really hit home till it was too late, I guess we are the first geneartion of clubs to suffer from this and other clubs will leran from us, so we may be the last

In alot of respects Wednesday and Forest are very similar, more so now than ever, luckily we've stablaised the situation, but we've had that extra year to do it, perhapsthis season you'll climb up to mid-table obscurity, I do sympathise with you, if its any consolation your not alone

I went to Hillsborough this season, my memories are bad of the place for obvious reasons, but its still a set up deserving of a better position in the league

Lets hope everyone sorts themselves out

I was thinking in relation to the population of the city, Sheffield has a bigger population than Manchester or Liverpool for Gods sake!
