In my view Keane was right to complain - apparently the training pitch was not safe...which could cause injury...

That's Irish! I know, lets send the only recognised world class player we have home, because he's spoke the truth...lol

actually, joking aside, the boss is the boss and needs to keep control. that means making difficult decisions. you never know, with good spirit, and hard work they could still shock a few!

The same hope they had before

Hmm not sure. I was looking at my wallchart this week thiking that Ireland might get a runner up spot or even a winners place! Germany have more crippled players than England, Ireland could beat Cameroon I think and well Saudi Arabia?

Not so sure now - Germany and Cameroon have that group for me...

    “You’re a f***ing w****r. You don’t know what you are f***ing doing. You’re a cr*p manager and you’re a cr*p person”

I take it McCarthy wont be on Keanes christmas card list this year

Roy Keane was unrepentent after being sent home from Ireland's World Cup squad for an outburst at manager Mick McCarthy.

The Manchester United skipper was in defiant mood as he returned to Europe, probably on a plane arranged by the Old Trafford club.

He did not express any guilt at his attack on McCarthy which shocked senior players or at leaving his country a man short in just their third World Cup.

'I feel great and have a clear conscience.' he said

'I am happy to be going home to see my family - it's good to be going home,' that father of four added.

He reiterated that he had: "No regrets. There are more important things in life to worry about," he told reporters.

    Fool...

The Ireland team has just got better and better now that McCarthy introduced new and younger players. Fair enough that Keane is an important asset to the team, it does not mean that without him Ireland will be fucked. In fact, there wil be a lot more team work because it was always Keane who hogged the ball. Now all we need to do is get rid of Naill Quinn and Ireland could get past the quarter finals.
