LOL , not too much recently (just moved house) Launch date is set August/September, with beat testing july onwards....
At the moment I am so busy I just do a tiny bit every now and then. Once my studies ease up I will be able to work on it more.
Quick clue - this is *me* who's making it, and what am I always talking about?
Sports&Fitness.com - not the real name, you'll have to wait for that one....
will focus on methods of developing fitness for sports. Studying P.E. and training regularly, I have noticed that there is no one real resource that has comprehensive details on exercises, nutrition, training methods, preperation and sports specific training. There are many sites that have bits, but there is a real lack of a comprehensive site that has all the needed info in one place, with clear unbiased information (most nutrition info is biased, either towards a certain "weight program" or towards a manufactured product - big example is ergogenic aids, it's so hard to get unbiased info.)
tee hee...
sounds good!
could it be classified as a form of sport to go on your site?!!!!
i presume we are classifying football as a religion then ?
Hell yes! Although I may need some volunteers (purely for research purposes) you going to volunteer
name the time and place!!!!!!!
shame i dont live closer really!
Yes! This one speaks the truth...
I would like to volunteer for any testing etc. Obviously I don't really mind writing bits on warm up exercises etc cos I do alot of sport myself (or religion as the case may be). 'Applying' to do such work after exams (got two months where I haven't got school but am too young to work "properly" ) would be perfect. If such a position would be available...
That's me - the romantic one
So where do you live?
TheEgoHasLanded- unfortunatly I won't be able to pay people to write stuff , as I am not exactly loaded, and the site will be a non-profit for the sporting community site. Now, if I was to get sponsorship in the future, from people like the EVA or Sports England, while I can't make any profits (as I do want to keep it non-profit) It would mean money to spend on equipment and training methods, etc for reviewing.
Ok thats fair enough . I'd still be very interested in writing stuff or testing voluntarily though ... I already write for anotoher site (see sig) and wanna get as much done for NRA in March.
Let me know?
First I have to get the groundwork sorted out, which I am afraid will be after march, more like april/may . What sporting experience do you have, as in, do you have any theoretical knowledge? or practical experience coaching people?
As for testing, well that is kinda hopefull, and would be quite a bit down the line... first I'd need to get the site established and supported.
THanks for the offer.
April/May could work. All I'll get from school then will be "revise for GCSE exam" so I could be able to put some stuff together. I'll have to let you know nearer the time.
I have some theoritical knowledge but most of it is "hands on" experience from playing a lot of sport and a little bit of football coaching.
