(crap gag, I know) [So crap I edited it out]

I've just watched Frank Skinner do his tour of Korea/Japan and he looked at the J-League. One thing that really struck me, even though I already knew it, was the lack of draws.

Each game has a winner, either through Golden Goal or penalties...

So the question which you are all expecting now is...do you think this would be a good thing for the English leagues?

answers on a postcard to....

    hmmm not sure

    *also goes off to think*

I have problems with the "two half seasons and winner of each half play each other to decide overall winner" system.

    1) What happans if the same team wins both? No equivalent to the Cup Final that year

    2) Team that wins the 2nd half win will have an advantage. They'd be the form team . Who'd beat Arsenal at the end of the season? Before Christmas?. Hmmmm

I also thin htye are incredibly naive to be playing football like a non-contact sport. No wonder the national teams aren't great...

On a brighter note - Frank found Dalian Atkinson!! Ahhh the memories

I agree about the 2 part league.

I was only referring to the fact that there is always a result...I just struggle to find a downside to that...

Just think what could happen if English players learned how to take the pressure of penalty shoot-outs on a regular basis

We would be the most successful team in world football......ever!

I don't see what is wrong with draws in a League situation. They can be a lot more entertaining than a win and consider what kind of injury crisis England would have now! top players already play too much
