FA Cup Final memories...

As a tribute to tommorow's event - my memories of cup finals in my lifetime...

“and Smith must score...” - Gordon Smith misses a last minute sitter, for Brighton vs Man Utd 1983 with the score at 2-2

Gazza's tackle (oo-er)

Whiteside's goal vs Everton 1985

Kevin Moran getting sent off in the same match – still the only player sent off in a FA Cup Final

Keith Houchen's diving header for Coventry vs Tottenham

Aldridge missing a penalty vs Wimbledon

Lineker repreating the feat vs Nottm. Forest

Ricky Villa's goal vs Man City – greatest Cup Final goal ever

Man Utd coming from two down vs Arsenal 1979

Alan Sunderland's goal which won that game for Arsenal just two minutes later

Willie Young's professional foul Paul Allen, when he was clean through on goal (Arsenal vs West Ham 1980). At the time Allen was the youngest ever player. Young was only booked.

Gary Mabbut's own goal

ditto Des Walker

Tommy Hutchinson scoring at both ends (Man City vs Spurs 1st game 1-1 draw)

Ian Wright coming off the bench and scoring two for Palace vs Man Utd

Liverpool's cream coloured suits

Newcastle losing two on the trot

Stuart Pearson's goal vs Liverpool 1977, stopped Liverpool completing the 'Treble'

Roger Osbourne having to be subsituted minutes after scoring the winner vs Arsenal 1978, such was his excitement.

Liverpool vs Everton 1989, for no other reason than it followed Hillsborough

Any predictions for today lads? Genie tells me 3 goals will be scored, two for the men in red. Of course Genie's been known to make mistakes...

Don't eat much today either - you'll get your meal just before 5 o'clock this afternoon .

I think you will find that eating freshly washed and pressed underwear is a very nutritious meal
