Renaming the Politics board

I've never posted here beore, so hang on.

I dont even know if this is the right place to post this.

Can i suggest that the politics board is renamed to 'Current Affairs' or something like that. I think its grown out that name and it deals with other things that politics.

Just a suggestion.

    I would have said that 'Politics' is a wider term than 'Current Affairs'. I think politics includes current affairs, and also other issues that are not necessarily current. (MHO)

    I think Current Affairs is a good one because it's not all politics... and I have a feeling that some people are put off by the name....

    I think people are put off by the standard of debate, not the name of the forum!

    I'm happy with Current Affairs, but I think Politics leaves scope for different stuff, whereas Current Affairs relies on the papers, which as we are seeing at the moment, is full of worthless rubbish not worthy of debate.

    I must admit it does get quite hairy in there at times!
    If you don't know your stuff and you post something, you get absolutely slaughtered as I often do. But I'm not put off by it.
    I'm 15 nearly 16, but I go in with all guns blazing and tell all of those gits what I think. Its a good outlet for the views you can't discuss with mates.
    But as i've said before, its not only politics, so the name could be changed.

    P.S. Its only a minority that go on about guns!

    I think you lot that don't post on politics seem to have a rather negative view of it but look at the topics.....

    How many are about guns?

    How many Americans post there?

    The answer to both is not many and if you really care then you are as entitiled as anyone else to start up topics aren't you!
