Making towels white again

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,324 The Mix Honorary Guru
My towels and towelling dressing gown are quite grubby no matter how much I wash them. I used a whitener sachet in the wash but it made no difference. Whats the best way to make them white again and get rid of the grubby marks?

Bleach, and boiling hot water. Soak.

Plain bleach, not toilet cleaner or anything. Wear gloves though.
