Hmmm, just had a meeting with Head of year and head of 6th form, they're basically saying that they don't think i'll be able to make it in the 6th form there, cos i'm just not accademically good! lol, so i've got to look at other schools, or colleges. I really don't want to leave, this is the first year, out of the 5 that i've been there, where i finally feel as though i fit in! I'm a bit of an extrovert you see, and not many people like that, but after moving forms and my Mum generally kicking up a fuss abouteverything, people have accepted me, and i have now have a firm group of friends, so to suddenly pull me out of my safe and happy enviroment, i'm going to be left torn apart. I feel all depressed and am going to cry - to late! <IMG SRC="frown.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

The answer is to speak to the Head like an adult nad have a mature conversation about why you feel settled there, and why you don't want to move schools.

just tell your head how you feel, if you feel that strongly about it dig your heels in determination will get them the grades they want from you, and you the comfort and support of friends and a good environment!

I believe that if you are willing to put that extra bit of work into your studies then you should do well in sixth form. Im not the brightest of people and my GCSE suggesteed I should have gone to do a GNVQ but I stuck with A Levels and now im off to uni in september. If you get the results to get in , in theory they shouldnt be able to turn you away. Dont cry just work hard if its really what you want to do.
