What can I speak about for five whole minutes that's going to get me an A? English orals are not nice things. Any ideas? <IMG SRC="confused.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

    how about the evil that is aftershock? sorry i was a bit ill on that stuff last nite.

    in regards to ur english oral - i dont really know. best to pick a topic that interests u and is relevant to the world today.
    look through some papers and pick out interesting articles. or else u could always go for the reallllyyy interesting stuff like 'should fox hunting be banned' <IMG SRC="rolleyes.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

    You could talk about a book that you really like?

    Or some issue, like teenage pregnancy, the way teenagers are portrayed..

    Just pick something you are interested in, and it will be good!

    Wait, please tell me you're not doing externally marked exams, are you? Like GCSE or A-levels?

    Cos quite frankly, 5 minutes talking about anything just doesn't cut it. I can spend 25 minutes talking about globalisation. I can spend 25 minutes talking about the theme of religion. I can spend 5 minutes talking about the paper wrapper on a coke bottle. It's *not* that hard fs.

    Yes we all know you are an amazing specimen of humanity that none of us could ever live up to Turtle...

    If it's the same as my GSE's, the ORAL is a separate part of English, not a whole GCSE.

    hey... im doing gcse oral coursewrk 2 4 english. i did a talk on "alien teachers"... it sounds weird, but i used teachers that evry1 knew and picked up on their unusual habits and linked it with how that proves they r alien!

    I was v scared every1 would think it was pants.. but i got an A* so i guess not that bad. Im doing eng play 2mor 2... i really do h8 performing. Good luck though!
