Somewhere between libetarian and socialist. A libetarian who doesn't consider the right to property to be above and beyond all others would probably be my answer. Which probably isn't a libetarian at all. But full out socialism is just as bad imo.

    1. Remove House of Lords and replace it with an elected body (also the queen).
    2. Remove any public funding of religious institutions, or any special tax breaks for said institutions.
    3. Stop trading with regimes we would be invading for human rights abuses if there wasn't any money to be made out of them. Or carry on trading with them and make sure that human right abuses are sorted out diplomatically, as is going on with a country like Turkey. Either way, don't do the usual hypocracy.
    4. Stop denying children information in school, with regards to sex education, drugs, and presumably various other things. On sex education, copy Holland.
    5. Remove any right of publicly funded schools to select their pupils on the basis of any criterea. And remove the right of any private contributors to publicly funded schools to have any say in the curriculum.
    6. Stop ridiculous concepts such as a war on drugs and allow marajuana, ecstacy, LCD and a few others to be sold in a controlled way on a case by case basis, rather than under the umbrella of "drugs". And use the taxes to treat addicts. And use the extra police/prison resources to do something useful.
    7. Fuck off the "Speed Kills" campaign and accompanying developments to our road systems, and replace it with something more sensible that relies on driver responsibility and an adequate police presence, rather than shifting the problems to another road as is so often the case.
    8. Remove any hiring for publicly funded jobs on the basis of race with the exception of where race is a factor in someone's ability to do the job (such as policing in certain areas).
    9. Get rid of any plans for ID cards.
    10. Scrap the trident program.
    11. Tell the BBFC to go and fuck itself. Okay still have them but remove their right to ban anything for consumption by adults. The market will decide whether something is "acceptable" or not.
    12. Do something about the trains. I'm not sure what.

That's all I can think of right now, but I have an opinion about most things.

Tough one because I'm not easy to pigeonhole - at least I don't think that I am. In some cases I can be very left wing, in others very right.

If I was to say anything specific it's that I'm a libertarian, generally.
What are your main passions in politics?

    Health policy, natch.

    Otherwise it's "rights"
What would you like to see change in your country?

    Gosh. Lots.

    1. Voting process - FPTP is not a good basis of Govt.
    2. Get religion out of our schools - except for education about the general beliefs of each.
    3. Teach kids real life skills, like balancing their personal accounts.
    4. Legalise drug use, tax it and use the money to treat people.
    5. Remove right of individuals to control so much of our media - so that the news people see isn't just based on one personas political perspective.
    6. Remove road tax but increase fuel tax to compensate - that was taxation will be based on use.
    7. Remove political interference from the NHS and have it as an insurance system. The "NHS" should not provide services, just pay for them.
    8. Ditto education.
    9. Stop censoring terrestial TV but have pin code system/parental controls instead. I'm an adult FFS.
    10. Drop ID cards, reinstate right to protest
    11. Look at adopting many parts of the US constitution
    12. Be prepared to take military action against regimes who do not uphold UN charter on Human Rights...

    So many more.
    What matters to you?

That people are able to get on with their lives, with the minimum of Govt interference.

:thumb: Must say I agree with all of those. Run for MP and I might just vote for you.

I'm largely in agreement with MOK on this.

I don't think i fit particularly well into any political pigeon-hole.

My current political bugbears are religion and big government.

How would you describe your political viewpoint?
A socialist, very liberal and an environmentalist.

What are your main passions in politics?
The environment, the welfare state, education and egalitarianism

What would you like to see change in your country?
The same rights for all law abiding citizens... For example, marriage (not civil partnerships) for same sex couples. I'd also like to see children being listened to more and changes in the education system. Acts like SOCPA being repealed, something to be done about the deportation of gay and lesbian asylum seekers and refugees and so on... Also, the government making more effort to clamp down on polluting businesses and tackle climate change.

    What matters to you?
The environment... A LOT! Human and non human animal rights, other stuff I've mentioned and freedom of expression (to a point).
