lump inside ear

For the past few days I've had a sore red lump on the inside of my ear (not actually IN it but its just where your ear starts to go in). It's quite sore and a bit red. It hasn't shown any sign of going down, I have a bit of a cold/cough atm so I dunno if it's worth going to the doctors about? Or could it be an infection?

    Could just be a spot.

    Sounds like a spot....

    If you're worried obviously go to your doctors, but if you've not injured it, and no other part of your ear hurts it may well be a spot. They are extra sore on your ear because there's so little flesh.
