can anyone tell me how they achieve this look, ive been doing it for years but its always been hit and miss and lots of experimenting, there must be a specific technique, also if i blow dry that bit seperately it doesnt smooth in the rest of my hair so well. I have just bought some volumising mousse could this be the answer!? Or does it need rollers etc any help gratefully received!

It's probably set in rollers and then tonged/hot brushed in between shots.

Rollers don't force hair into a particular direction, they just control the direction of the curl/wave.

Ie. for Nadine's hair, you can use one large roller on the centre of the forehead and it'll still fall to the sides naturally once let down, due to gravity.
