Just as a bit of background; most Islamic elites or those in positions of upper/middle class socio-economic status tend to have their familial histories rooted in East Africa or India.
The poorest, worst off are the Pakistanis and in particular the Bangladeshis; who tended to be drawn from the poorer rural sending regions.
