For me? yes a girl told me she was 17 when i was 17 (a few months before i met my current girlfriend of 4 years.) she turned out to be 15 and i was tried for statutory rape. (legal consent age in my state is 16.) i was sent to jail for 30 days, even though she was the one who lied. don't think people in wheelchairs can go to jail? you would be wrong.

    thats just insane for people to lie for that reason. im assuming when i was 17 that the 15 year old girl wanted to have sex with me that is why she lied or maybe she just wanted to frame me.

    Guys have been known to think I was 18 back in the day when I was 16.

    But strictly speaking I never TOLD them that. They just assumed it because we met in bars...

    I once had a guy lie to me about having more qualifications than he actually did!

    He told me he had a GNVQ in Business Studies, it turned out he didn't.

    But I didn't actually sleep with him anyway. Just got off with him.

    I'm sure I have. I was 21 for about an hour tonight. And I wasn't drunk or trying to get with somebody, I could only imagine what I've said when I was. But its never been intentional.

    That's happened to me :( He told me he was 20 when really he was 18.. and I was 22.

Come on, if you're gonna make something up, you should at least make it impressive: premiership footballer, you have a part in the new Al Pacino movie, you own a villa in Barbados, Scarlett Johansson is your cousin, y'know that kind of thing.

    I'll put my hands up, I lied and said I was 19 when really I was 16 to my 30yr old bf.
    I also lied when I was in my teens before the age of consent. No I'm not proud of it.

    Aye - I met a girl, and she told me she was 18.

    The next day she said "You know I said I was 18.....??"

    I sat bolt upright and thought the worst... turned out she was NEARLY 18, which wasn't toooooo bad.

    lol, i met a guy who told me he was 24, i told him i was 18, so thats quite a big age difference anyway. However it didnt work out when i confessed to being 15 and he turned out to be nearly 33. NOt one of the highlights of my life i must say!!

    It's the same here. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

    I've not had anyone lie to me about age but one guy did tell me he wasn't a virgin and then a year later he confessed he was actually one.
