    I use outlook because I have lots of different email accounts (IMAP) that it checks. I've used thunderbird but just think outlook is a much better implementation. Also includes a PIM but don't really use it. You can email people appointments and stuff. More of a gimmick though.

    I still check my gmail online though.

    I think outlook is more powerful then Thunderbird but it ain't portable as far as I know?

    I like knowing I can use my emails and if I need to travel pop a copy of all my emails and accounts on a USB Stick, MP3 Player, Digital Camera, basically any device that will show up as another drive on a PC.

    But on the other hand Thunderbird has some useful extensions.

    Only reason my friends use Outlook is to sync with their phones their contacts and calanders which I wish Thunderbird could do.
