I lost my provisional ages ago I think I was using it in the toilets some where or something when I was drunk and I haven't seen it since.

I wasn't reaally bothered because I didn't have any money for lessons any way but now I have got some money I need it back or I need to get a new one ..

What should I do and how do I go about doing it ?

You'll probably just have to send off for another one. Or ring up and ask how you replace them.

OH - hold on, is it a credit card type thingy?

I've still only got the old paper version because I'm ancient. ;)

I was a bit confused what you'd be doing with an 8 x folded piece of paper in the toilets

Get hold of the driving licence application form as I'm sure there is an option on the form to get a new one when it has been lost.

If you have the paper part you need to send that off to the dvla and they will send you a new license. It will cost you for the replacement

    I'm so innocent sometimes

    ETA:

If you have a sharp insurance company they might ask some questions. Ever licence has a number which is, in part, your date of birth. The last few letter and number though contains a 9. In the past this would change to 8, then 7 etc every time you have a duplicate issued (not change of address though). That way the insurance people would know when someone had removed a ban etc from their licence and kept quiet about it. Not sure if this still happens though...

If its just for id and you odnt intend to get any lessons I wouldnt bother, they've stopped provisionals as a form of id round here coz you can get copies or soem shit.

Now I have to carry my bloody passport everywhere! grr.
