But my advise would be to look at the bill and moan at BT customer services if you didn't make the calls - though its unusual for a call to appear if you didn't make it...
Its possible
Do you have some kind of dialler or virus on your PC? I had one once that rang Guyana randomly and it cost a bomb. I'd check your PC for viruses etc.
surely that only works though if you've got diallup? *guess*
Oh yea, adsl..
Stone age people. Get cable
Been looking at anything you should have been?
Ok for a start, when you log on check the number that is being dialled in your connection box when your pc is connecting to the net, call and get an immediate bar on international calls placed on your land line and unplug the pc from the phone socket after each net session. Your phone operator does not have to refund you calls made to a number that has been dialled by equipment you have plugged in to the socket, regardless of if you meant to dial it or not.
Don't just wait until you get the next bill it could be huge.
Do you have any other hardware plugged in such as an alarm that is monitored by a third party, a fax machine etc that you may use for work puropses ?
Have you done a virus and spyware scan on your computer? People used to use numbers in Sao Tome and Principe and either get you to call them or infect your PC with a rouge dialler program.... also check what number your connecting to when connecting to the net as already stated, if it looks something like +23912xxxxxx then it's a rouge dialler calling Tome.
If you don't have AV currently, get one. It's silly to use windows without an antivirus.
