Day for Darfur: the crisis in Darfur, Sudan has been described as the worst humanitarian crises in the world today. Millions of people have been forced to leave their homes. Around 200,000 people have died, many of them civillians who were not part of conflict. It's good news that the UN have agreed to help the African Union with their peacekeeping mission, but the Sudanese government have obstructed them before: we need to send a clear signal that the international community won't let them get away with it again. Stand alongside citizens of nearly 30 countries around the world on 16th September and raise your voice to support Darfur by protest at the Sudanese Embassy and Downing Street- more details here at the Globe for Darfur website:
