Southend, Essex
Poole, Dorset
Herne Bay, Kent
Whitstable, Kent
Felixstowe, Suffolk
Bridlington, East Yorkshire
Weston-super-Mare, Somerset
Worthing, West Sussex
Weymouth, Dorset
Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Brighton, East Sussex

There's only 2 northern ones which is very annoying.
I can't find the news story online that accompanies it but I'll look for it.

And no mention of beautiful places like aldburgh or southwold along the same coast.
Indeed, but some numpty has put Herne Bay and Whitstable in that list. WTF?
Great places if you are waiting to die maybe...
ahh you've been to broadstairs? that place is soooooo damn cute it's unreal..maybe i get carried away but ahh
It's where the e-on advert about windfarms was filmed - from what I can work out...
yeah i know :hyper: my family are poor so our holidays consisted of a weekend break to broadstairs always visiting pizza possilipo and the arcade for those addictive 2p machines..ahh..the cinema is so quaint too and bleak house..i love the dickens connections there.
When you ask for a coffee they stick the kettle on...
Why aint Skegness/Mablethorpe and Newquay on the list??
Seriously though nothing in Wales and theres some lush places
Well I'd expect a Welsh resort to struggle to make it into the best seaside towns in England.
Anyway, it's pretty obvious that whoever compiled the list has never set foot above London.
Blatantly number fucking one!
It does deserve to be higher.
............SOUTHEND?!?!?!?!?!?!
Fuck off
Anyone who's ever been to Weston will tell you that it's basically a contemporary vision of a post-nuclear apocalypse town. It's like a thrid world country in the middle of Britain. What a dump.
I've only been to Weston once, off season, but thought it was nice. Miles and miles of beach, good for walking. Hardly a "third world country".
Are there no nominations from Cornwall and Devon? Ilfracombe/Woolacombe are nice. I have a soft spot for Clacton too And Swanage.
