child of dawn by gautama chopra - given to be by my mother whilst in was in the depths of depression last year, it really made me see the important things in life.
The little prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry- a beautiful beautiful book that i will finish reading in spanish
the Hobbit by JR Tolkien- got me through a horrendous time when i was 10 and really helped me find my passion for books.
Wild Girls: The Path of the Young Goddess by Patricia Monaghan- was originally bought for me when i was 12 and had hit a very lonely stage in my life by a lovely taiwanese woman when we were in glastonbury, i unfortunatly lost that copy but i recomend it to everyone.

there are many more but i can't think of off the top of my head

Well not exactly changed my life but the Skinny Bitch book has completely changed my view on food and since reading that I have given up eating meat and dairy products. It has also made me more awear of where my food comes from and what I'm putting into my body!

I haven't read a book that's made sparks come of my brain in a while, but the following are really good IMHO:

The Darma Bums - Jack Kerouac
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance - Robert Pirsig
Once in a House on Fire - Angela Ashworth
To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee

Life of Pi is by Yann Martel. Love that book.

I'm also looking forward to the golden compass. Wish it was called Northern Lights, mind.

    P.S. I Love you.

I always make sure to stress how much I really do care about people now. Although I totally believe that the film is going to ruin it!

Green Eggs & Ham. That book shaped my whole philosophy on eating.

Dr Seuss has some very good moral stories out there  :p

I know I go on about this one, but "We need to talk about Kevin" by Lionel Schriver is really good and thought provoking. Really makes you think about having children and challenged my views on how much control you really have over them and how they will turn out.
