X-U: the death of X FM

today was the death of the old x fm and the birth of the new, and i'm not sure what i think.

to those who don't know:

after a sucession of DJs leaving due to the fact that they didn't like the direction the station was heading in, they have axed DJs from 10-4 in favour of music chosen by listeners and ads...no DJ was so ever and very little news...but thats no too bad...

the music today seemed good, but it needed to be broken up by something...

I miss the sweet voice of Lauren Lavern to wake up to...

what does everyone else think?

    Xfm hasn't been the same for the last 10 years, since it was taken over way back when.

    i liked the dj's...xfm is the only station i listen to...although havent heard the new format yet - im guessing less new music

    a good mix really...which was nice, but i really like the occational DJ

    It's the station I listen most to as they play a lot of decent indie/rock/dance stuff and blisfully very little fucking R&B, rap and hip-hop, which I hate with all the passion I can muster.

    But the amount of ads piss me off. It's nearly constant.
